William

William Riley, DVM

I was born in Longview, WA, and moved from Hillsboro, OR to Texas in 1983. In Texas, I met my wife, Kayla, found my career, had 2 children, Evan and Krista, and rescued our current 2 Labrador retrievers, Buddy and Bear, along the way. I started work at Preston Park Animal Hospital, a well-established AAHA certified practice in January 2002 and 6 months later the clinic was purchased by VCA. After 8 years, my home sickness needed to be remedied and we made the choice to relocate to Silverdale, WA in August 2010, after I accepted the Medical Director position at VCA Olympic Animal Hospital and remained there until December 2012.

Professionally, my passion in customer service and providing the highest quality care to the client four legged furry companions. I always strive to be on the cutting edge of medicine and regularly attend continuing education.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I am an avid snowboarder, love to hike in the off season and am currently writing a book about reconnecting with my Finnish roots after a school project my son had a few years back and then finding them through Ancestry.com and Facebook.
